Description of the active substance:
This information is a reference and it is not enough that the drug has been prescribed by a doctor ..
PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT
X-ray contrast diagnostic non-ionic monomer. Yopromide contains approximately 48.1% iodine. Has low osmolality. Due to the presence of stably bound iodine absorbs X-rays and provides a high degree of opacity of the objects of study.
PHARMACOKINETICS
After intravascular injection, iopromide is very rapidly distributed in the intercellular space. T 1/2 in the distribution phase is 3 min, in the elimination phase - 2 h irrespective of the dose.
When yopromide is used in doses recommended for diagnostic purposes, it is excreted from the body solely by glomerular filtration. The rate of renal excretion is approximately 18% of the dose for 30 minutes, about 60% for 3 hours and about 92% for 24 hours. No metabolites of iopromide in humans have been detected.
INDICATIONS
To enhance the contrast of images in computed tomography, digital subtraction angiography, intravenous urography, phlebography of extremities, myelography.
To enhance the image contrast when visualizing body cavities in arthrography, hysterosalpingography, fistulography.
DOSING MODE
The dose of yopromide during angiography depends on the age and body weight of the patient, the minute volume of the heart, the diagnostic task, the type of technical equipment, and the type and volume of blood vessels in the study area.
SIDE EFFECT
From the digestive system: nausea, vomiting.
From the side of the cardiovascular system: a change in the level of blood pressure.
From the side of the central nervous system: headache, dizziness.
Allergic reactions: itching, hives, sneezing, lacrimation, difficulty breathing, redness of the skin.
Other: chills, increased sweating.
Local reactions: a feeling of heat and pain in the place of intravascular injection.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Expressed thyrotoxicosis.
Hysterosalpingography in the presence of acute inflammatory diseases of the pelvic organs, during pregnancy.
Conduction of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography in acute pancreatitis.
Hypersensitivity to iopromide.
PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
In pregnancy, hysterosalpingography is contraindicated.
APPLICATION FOR FUNCTIONS OF THE LIVER
With caution apply for severe impairment of kidney function.
APPLICATION FOR VIOLATIONS OF THE FUNCTION OF KIDNEYS
With caution apply for severe violations of liver function.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
They are used with caution in case of circulatory failure with the phenomena of decompensation, expressed violations of the liver and kidney function, emphysema of the lungs, severe general condition, severe cerebral arteriosclerosis and cerebral vasospasms, in patients with diabetes mellitus, nodular goiter, plasmocytoma.
Patients with pheochromocytoma, in connection with the danger of developing a vascular crisis, are advised to pre-insert alpha-blockers.
Patients with an increased risk of developing allergic reactions before the study are trained, including the administration of corticosteroids and / or antihistamines.
Iodine-containing radiopaque agents can distort the results of thyroid function research, so false results are observed within 2-6 weeks after application of iopromide in radioisotope diagnosis of thyroid diseases.
DRUG INTERACTION
Clinical data on the drug interaction of yopromide are limited.
