Description of the active substance:
This information is a reference and it is not enough that the drug has been prescribed by a doctor ..
PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT
Radiopaque non-ionic water-soluble agent. The solution has low osmotic pressure, which contributes to good local and systemic tolerance. Used as a contrast agent for intra-venous, intravenous and / or intravenous administration.
INDICATIONS
Neuroradiology: myeloradiculography, cisternography, ventriculography.
Angiography: cerebral angiography, coronary angiography, thoracic aortography, aortic abdominal aorta, angiocardiography, selective visceral arteriography, peripheral arteriography, venography, digital subtraction angiography.
Urography: intravenous urography, computed tomography.
Arthrography: fistulography.
DOSING MODE
Neuroradiology: 5-15 ml (200-300 mg iodine / ml).
Angiography: for cerebral angiography - 5-10 ml bolus (300 mg iodine / ml); for coronary angiography, thoracic aortography, abdominal aortography, angiocardiography - 1.0-1.2 ml / kg (370 mg iodine / ml); for conducting selective visceral arteriography - 300-370 mg iodine / ml; for the conduct of peripheral arteriography is recommended the introduction of 40-50 ml of the solution (300-370 mg iodine / ml); to conduct venography recommended the introduction of 30-50 ml (300 mg iodine / ml); for digital angiography 1-15 ml (200 mg iodine / ml) or 40 ml bolus (300-370 mg iodine / ml).
Urography: recommended doses - 30-50 ml.
When carrying out a computer tomography - 0.5-2 ml / kg (300-370 mg iodine / ml) iv bolus, drip or in a combination of these two methods.
Arthrography: the recommended dose is 300 mg iodine / ml.
SIDE EFFECT
From the digestive system: nausea, vomiting.
From the side of the central nervous system: headache, dizziness, agitation, loss of consciousness, convulsions. If during the examination an epileptic fit develops - iv diazepam or phenobarbital sodium.
From the cardiovascular system: a decrease in blood pressure, tachycardia, cyanosis.
Allergic reactions: acute rhinitis or laryngeal edema, rash.
General reactions on the part of the body: skin hyperemia, fever, fever, sweating, asthenia, pallor, dyspnea.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia, multiple myeloma, hepatic and / or renal failure, severe thyrotoxicosis, hypersensitivity to the active substance.
PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
In pregnancy, the use of iodine-containing contrast agent is possible only in case of emergency.
APPLICATION FOR FUNCTIONS OF THE LIVER
Contraindicated in renal failure.
APPLICATION FOR VIOLATIONS OF THE FUNCTION OF KIDNEYS
Contraindicated in liver failure.
APPLICATION FOR CHILDREN
When examining small children, one should not limit their intake of fluids before the introduction of hypertonic contrast solution, and also control any imbalance of water and electrolytes.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Avoid using equipment in which the preparation can come into direct contact with a metal surface containing Cu 2+ .
When examining small children, one should not limit their intake of fluids before the introduction of hypertonic contrast solution, and also control any imbalance of water and electrolytes.
In patients with thyrotoxicosis, the use of iodine-containing contrast agent is possible only in case of emergency. It should be borne in mind that the seizure of iodine in the thyroid gland will decrease for several days (and sometimes 2 weeks) after the application of iodine-containing contrast agent.
When carrying out a spinal block, you need to remove as many injected contrast solution as possible.
DRUG INTERACTION
Antipsychotic drugs, analgesics, antihistamines, antiemetics and sedatives, although they raise the threshold of convulsive readiness, but, if possible, they should be discontinued at least 48 hours before the administration of this contrast agent and do not resume earlier than 12 hours after the end of the procedure .
Pharmaceutically incompatible with other medicines.
