PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT
Antiseptic preparation for topical application.
It is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria: Treponema pallidum, Chlamydia spp., Ureaplasma spp., Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Gardnerella vaginalis, Bacteroides fragilis; protozoa: Trichomonas vaginalis; viruses: Herpes simplex types 1 and 2.
Hexicon В® does not interfere with the functional activity of lactobacilli.
Keeps activity (albeit somewhat lowered) in the presence of blood, pus.
PHARMACOKINETICS
When intravaginal is practically not absorbed, no systemic effect.
INDICATIONS
- Prevention of sexually transmitted infections (including gonorrhea, syphilis, trichomoniasis, chlamydia, ureaplasmosis, genital herpes);
- prevention of infectious and inflammatory complications in obstetrics and gynecology (before operative treatment of gynecological diseases, before childbirth and abortion, before and after installation of the intrauterine device, before and after diathermocoagulation of the cervix, before intrauterine studies);
- Treatment of bacterial vaginosis, colpitis (including nonspecific, mixed, trichomonads).
DOSING MODE
For the prevention of sexually transmitted infections, 1 suppository is prescribed once. The drug should be used not later than 2 hours after sexual intercourse.
For treatment appoint 1 suppository 2 times / day for 7-10 days.
SIDE EFFECT
Possible: allergic reactions, itching, after the withdrawal of the drug.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
The drug is not contraindicated for use in pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding).

OVERDOSE
At present, no cases of overdose of the drug Hexicon В® have been reported.
DRUG INTERACTION
Hexicon В® is not compatible with detergents containing an anionic group (saponins, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium carboxymethylcellulose) and soaps if they are administered intravaginally. The toilet of external genital organs does not affect the efficacy and tolerability of vaginal suppositories of Hexicon В® , since the drug is administered intravaginally.

The drug is approved for use as a means of OTC.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF STORAGE
The drug should be stored out of reach of children, protected from light at a temperature of no higher than 25 В° C. Shelf life - 2 years.
