PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT
Saridon is a combined drug containing paracetamol, caffeine and propyphenazone. Paracetamol and propiphenazone have analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effects. Caffeine reduces drowsiness and fatigue, has an effect on the cardiovascular system: increases heart rate, increases blood pressure in hypotension and in this combination enhances the analgesic effect of the remaining components.
INDICATIONS
Pain of different etiology, including:
- headache;
- toothache;
- migraine pain;
- neuralgia;
- myalgia;
- sciatica;
- Post-traumatic and post-operative pain;
- dysmenorrhoeic pain.
To reduce high fever with colds and other infectious and inflammatory diseases.
DOSING MODE
Applied internally, adults usually 1 tab. 3-4 times / day. The maximum single dose for adults is 2 tablets, daily - 6 tablets.
Duration of reception no more than 3 days as an antipyretic agent and no more than 5 days as an anesthetic.
For adolescents 12-18 years -1/2 -1 tab. 2-3 times / day.
Tablets should be taken after meals, washed down with plenty of fluids.
SIDE EFFECT
In therapeutic doses, the drug is usually well tolerated.
Sometimes skin allergic reactions, nausea, vomiting, palpitation, dizziness, sleep disturbance are possible.
Rarely - violations of the blood system (thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, agranulocytosis).
With prolonged admission in high doses , hepatotoxic and nephrotoxic action is possible
CONTRAINDICATIONS
- hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;
- marked violations of the liver or kidney;
- genetic deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase;
- glaucoma;
- Anemia;
- Lakopenia;
- increased excitability;
- Insomnia;
- IHD, angina pectoris;
- Children under 12 years.
It is undesirable to use during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.
Do not combine with the reception of alcoholic beverages.

APPLICATION FOR FUNCTIONS OF THE LIVER
Contraindications: severe renal dysfunction.

APPLICATION FOR CHILDREN
Contra-indication: children under 12 years.
OVERDOSE
Signs of acute poisoning: nausea, vomiting, pain in the stomach, sweating, pallor of the skin, tachycardia. The sufferer should do gastric lavage, prescribe adsorbents (activated charcoal) and consult a doctor.
DRUG INTERACTION
You should avoid the simultaneous use of the drug Saridon with barbiturates, anticonvulsants, rifampicin, carbamazepine and alcoholic beverages.
Metoclopramide accelerates the absorption of paracetamol.
Caffeine accelerates the absorption of ergotamine.
Propifenazone increases the effect of oral antidiabetic drugs and anticoagulants, reduces the effectiveness of potassium-sparing diuretics.
