Type: Recombinant human chorionic gonadotropin

Manufacturer: ЛЭНС-ФАРМ (Russia)
Description of the active substance:
This information is a reference and it is not enough that the drug has been prescribed by a doctor ..

Gonadotropic hormone.
It is produced by the human placenta and excreted into the urine, from where it can be extracted and purified. Stimulates the development of progesterone by the yellow body and supports the development of the placenta. Has gonadotropic action, mainly luteinizing.
In women, the drug causes ovulation and stimulates the synthesis of estrogens and progesterone.
In men - stimulates spermatogenesis and production of sex steroids.
After the / m introduction is well absorbed.
T 1/2 is 8 hours.
It is believed that before excretion in the urine, chorionic gonadotropin is modified in the body,
its T 1/2 , measured by the immunological method, significantly exceeds this indicator, determined by biological activity.
For women: induction of ovulation after stimulation of follicle growth;
maintenance of the function of the ovarian yellow body in patients with luteal phase insufficiency.
For boys and men: cryptorchidism (ectopia, retention of testicles in the abdominal cavity or in the inguinal canal);
delay in puberty; hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (in combination with preparations of human menopausal gonadotropin); when carrying out a differential diagnostic test of anarchism and cryptorchidism in boys; when carrying out the Leydig functional test to assess the function of the testicles in hypogonadotropic hypogonadism before initiating long-term stimulatory treatment.
Individual, depending on the indications and treatment regimen.

On the part of the endocrine system in women: it is possible to develop the ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, accompanied by the development of ovarian cysts with the danger of their rupture, ascites, hydrothorax and the danger of thromboembolism.

On the part of the endocrine system in boys and men: temporary reversible enlargement of mammary glands, prostate gland, water and electrolyte retention, ordinary acne;
in boys, behavioral changes similar to those observed during the first phase of puberty that occur after the end of treatment are possible.
Tumors of different locations, dependent on sex hormones;
organically conditioned cryptorchidism (inguinal hernia, consequences of surgical interventions in the groin, incorrect position of the testicles) in boys and men; hypersensitivity to the chorionic gonadotropin.
There is an increased risk of miscarriage and / or development of multiple pregnancy after treatment with gonadotropins.

It is not recommended long-term use due to the possible formation of antibodies that reduce the effectiveness of treatment.

In the case of the development of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, the use should be stopped.
