PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT
A drug that improves blood circulation and brain metabolism. Has vasodilator, antihypoxic and antiplatelet effect.
The mechanism of action is associated with inhibition of phosphodiesterase. This leads to an increase in the content of cAMP in the cells, which in turn causes a decrease in the calcium content in the cytoplasm of smooth muscle cells and the relaxation of myofibrils.
It dilates the blood vessels of the brain, increases blood flow, mainly in the ischemic areas, improves the supply of oxygen to the brain. Promotes the utilization of glucose and increases the level of catecholamines in the central nervous system, stimulates the metabolism of norepinephrine and serotonin in the brain tissues.Reduces platelet aggregation, blood viscosity, promotes increased erythrocyte deformability and normalization of venous outflow against a background of decreased resistance of cerebral vessels. Systemic blood pressure decreases slightly.
Teletext is effective in the acute period of stroke: it accelerates the regress of cerebral and focal neurological symptoms, improves memory, attention, intellectual productivity.
In the elderly and senile age, the sensitivity of cerebral vessels to the relaxing action of vinpocetin increases, which is due to the sensitization of the adenylate cyclase-cAMP system during aging.
PHARMACOKINETICS
Suction
After taking the medication, vinpocetine is rapidly absorbed from the digestive tract. Bioavailability is about 60%. C max is achieved after 1 hour. Easily penetrates through the histogematic barriers (including through the BBB) and penetrates into the tissues.
Excretion
T 1/2 is about 5 hours.
INDICATIONS
- acute (after completion of the course of parenteral administration of vinpocetine, and also when parenteral administration is not possible) and chronic forms of cerebral circulatory insufficiency (including acute and residual stages of stroke, transient ischemic attacks, encephalopathies, multi-infarct dementia);
- vascular diseases of the retina and / or choroid of the eye (due to atherosclerosis, angiospasm, thrombosis);
- degenerative changes in the yellow spot of the eye caused by atherosclerosis or angiospasm;
- secondary glaucoma (due to vascular obturation);
- age-related vascular or toxic (medicamentous) hearing impairment;
- MГ©niГЁre's disease;
dizziness of labyrinth origin;
- vegetative manifestations of climacteric syndrome.
DOSING MODE
The drug should be taken orally 5-10 mg 3 times / day for 2 months. Before cancellation of the drug should gradually reduce the dose.
Possible repeated courses 2-3 times a year.
SIDE EFFECT
From the cardiovascular system: a decrease in blood pressure, tachycardia, extrasystole, slowing of intraventricular conduction.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
- severe cardiac rhythm disturbances;
- IHD (severe course);
- acute stage of hemorrhagic stroke;
- Pregnancy;
- lactation period (breastfeeding);
- Hypersensitivity to the drug.
PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
The drug is contraindicated for use in pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding).
OVERDOSE
Treatment: with an overdose - gastric lavage, taking activated charcoal, symptomatic therapy.
DRUG INTERACTION
When using TeleTotal on a background of heparin therapy, the risk of hemorrhagic complications increases.
