PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT

Antihemorrhoidal drug.

Shark liver oil has anti-inflammatory, hemostatic, wound-healing and immunomodulating effects.

Benzocaine - a local anesthetic, does not have a resorptive effect.

The basis of the suppository - cocoa butter - has an additional softening effect.

PHARMACOKINETICS

Data on the pharmacokinetics of the drug Relief Advance are not available.

INDICATIONS

- external and internal hemorrhoids;

- erosion and cracks in the anus;

anal itching;

- for the purpose of anesthesia after proctologic surgeries;

- when performing diagnostic manipulations.

DOSING MODE

The drug should be used after hygienic procedures.

Suppositories are injected into the rectum in the morning, at night and after each emptying of the intestine.
Adults and children over 12 years of age arerecommended to administer 1 suppository up to 4 times a day.
To apply the ointment, remove the protective cap from the applicator, attach the applicator to the tube and squeeze out a small amount of ointment to lubricate the applicator.
Ointment is gently administered with the help of the applicator up to 4 times / day (in the morning, in the afternoon and in the evening and after each emptying of the intestine).
After each use, the applicator should be thoroughly rinsed and placed in a protective cap.

Children under the age of 12 years, the drug is prescribed under medical supervision.

SIDE EFFECT

Local reactions: hyperemia, itching.

Allergic reactions are possible .

CONTRAINDICATIONS

- thromboembolism;

- granulocytopenia;

- Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

PREGNANCY AND LACTATION

The preparation Relief Advance is used with caution during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding) and only if the intended benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus or the baby.

OVERDOSE

Possible symptoms may be associated with systemic absorption of benzocaine, which is part of the drug, and include drowsiness, anxiety, agitation;
in severe cases, convulsions; extremely rarely - methemoglobinemia (manifested by breathing disorders and cyanosis).
With a significant excess of the recommended single and daily doses of the shark liver oil included in the preparation, it is possible to develop a tendency to increase blood clotting.

Treatment: with methemoglobinemia - iv injection of methylene blue.
