PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT
Means of plant origin.
Leaves of mother-and-stepmother contain from 5 to 10% of mucous substances, glycoside tussilagin, tannins, saponins, organic acids, inulin, sitosterol. Due to the high content of mucus, the mother-and-stepmother has an enveloping effect on the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract. In addition, mucus, organic acids and saponins dilute the dry detachable, restore the natural movement of the cilia of the ciliated epithelium of the respiratory tract, improve expectoration of sputum. Tannins, carotenoids and sterols have a pronounced anti-inflammatory and weak bacteriostatic effect. Flavonoids and essential oils of plants have an insignificant antispasmodic effect.
INDICATIONS
Diseases of the upper respiratory tract (including laryngitis, tracheitis, chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma).
Furunculosis, wounds, ulcers.
DOSING MODE
In the form of cooked infusions (5-10 g of raw materials per 200 ml of water) take inside 1 st.
spoon 4-6 times / day or 1 / 2-1 / 3 cup 2-3 times / day; externally - in the form of compresses and lotions.
