PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT
Combination drug for the elimination of heartburn and stomach pain, the effect of which is due to its constituent components.
Algeldrat has an antacid, adsorbing, enveloping, carminative effect. Magnesium hydroxide has a slight laxative effect. The drug neutralizes free hydrochloric acid in the stomach, reduces the activity of gastric juice; Inactivates pepsin and binds bile acids that enter the stomach as a result of reflux from the duodenum, exerts a protective effect on the mucous membrane of the stomach and duodenum; accelerates the motility of the stomach and all parts of the intestine. Does not cause secondary hypersecretion of hydrochloric acid and alkalosis.
PHARMACOKINETICS
Absorption is low.
INDICATIONS
- Stomach ulcer and duodenal ulcer in the phase of exacerbation;
- acute gastritis with increased and normal secretory function in the exacerbation phase, acute duodenitis;
- hernia of the esophageal opening of the diaphragm, reflux esophagitis;
- discomfort, heartburn and epigastric pain with an error in the diet, after taking medications, including glucocorticosteroids and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and after consuming coffee, nicotine, alcohol.
DOSING MODE
Inside. Tablets should be chewed and kept in the mouth until completely absorbed.
Adults and children over 15 years of 1-2 tablets 4 times a day. 1 hour after meals and in the evening before bed or if there is discomfort, epigastric pain, heartburn.
With gastric ulcer, the drug should be taken 30 minutes before meals. The maximum daily dose is 12 tablets.
Children from 10 to 15 years are prescribed half the recommended dose for adults.
For prevention - 1 tablet for 15 minutes before taking medications that irritate the mucous membrane of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum. Duration of treatment should not exceed 15-20 days.
SIDE EFFECT
Constipation, nausea, vomiting, stomach pains of a spastic nature, taste changes, hypermagnesia, hypophosphatemia, hypocalcemia, hypercalciuria, osteomalacia, osteoporosis, hyperaluminia, encephalopathy, nephrocalcinosis, renal dysfunction, allergic reactions. In patients with concomitant renal failure - thirst, lowering blood pressure, hyporeflexia.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Deficiency of sugar / isomaltase, intolerance to fructose, glucose-galactose malabsorption. Hypofosfatemia, pronounced impaired kidney function, children under 10 years of age, Alzheimer's disease, pregnancy.
With caution : during lactation.

APPLICATION FOR FUNCTIONS OF THE LIVER

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
The interval between taking Gastricid В® and other medications should be 1-2 hours.
With more prolonged use (more than 20 days), regular medical supervision is necessary. The drug contains sorbitol, which is contraindicated in congenital intolerance to fructose.
The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and engage in other activities that require concentration and speed of psychomotor reactions.
OVERDOSE
Symptoms : Education of kidney stones, the appearance of severe constipation, drowsiness, hypermagnia. There may also be signs of metabolic alkalosis: mood changes, numbness or pain in the muscles, nervousness and fatigue, unpleasant gustatory sensations.
Treatment : It is necessary to immediately take measures to quickly remove the drug: rinse the stomach, induce vomiting, take activated charcoal.
DRUG INTERACTION
Can adsorb some medicines, thereby reducing their absorption. Reduces and slows down the absorption of digoxin, indomethacin, salicylates, chlorpromazine, phenytoin, H 2 -gistamine receptor blockers, beta-adrenoblockers, diflunisal, isoniazid, tetracycline antibiotics, quinolones (ciprofloxacin, norfloxacin, ofloxacin, enoxacin, grepafloxacin, etc.), azithromycin , cefpodoxim, pivampicillin, rifampicin, indirect anticoagulants, barbiturates, fexofenadine, dipyridamole, zalcitabine, bile acids - chenodeoxycholic and ursodeoxycholic, penicillamine, gland preparations and lithium, quinidine, lansoprazole, mexiletine, ketoconazole. With simultaneous reception with preparations coated with an enteric-coated shell, increased alkalinity of the gastric juice can lead to an accelerated disruption of the envelope and cause irritation of the stomach and duodenum.
