PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT

The sage infusion has an antimicrobial, local anti-inflammatory and astringent effect.

INDICATIONS

- inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity (stomatitis, gingivitis), pharynx and larynx (sore throat, pharyngitis).

DOSING MODE

About 10 g (3 tablespoons) of leaves are placed in enameled dishes, pour 200 ml (1 cup) of boiling water, cover with a lid and insist on a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, filter, the remaining raw material is squeezed.
The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water. Applied locally for rinsing in adults and children over 12 years of 0.5-1 glass infusion 3-5 times / day in a warm form. Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

Allergic reactions are possible.

OVERDOSE

If used correctly (topically), an overdose is unlikely.

When ingested in high doses (more than 15 grams of dried leaves) symptoms: tachycardia, tinnitus, vomiting, convulsions.

Treatment: symptomatic.
