PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT
The vaccine against polioviruses 1, 2 and 3 types. Obtained from polioviruses of three types, cultivated on the BERO cell line and inactivated with formalin.
This vaccine causes the production of a significant number of neutralizing antibodies to polioviruses, starting with the second injection, regardless of the general condition of the vaccinated persons (immunodeficiency, bowel disease, dystrophy). Immunity to poliomyelitis viruses is acquired after the 3rd injection of the vaccine, is strengthened with subsequent injections and persists for at least 5 years after the first revaccination.
After the administration of 3 doses of this vaccine seroconversion is observed in 95-100% of individuals.
INDICATIONS
Prevention of poliomyelitis.
DOSING MODE
The vaccine is given SC or I / m. Primary vaccination is carried out by 3 consecutive injections of this vaccine at intervals of 1 month. For one administration - 1 dose of vaccine. Revaccination is carried out 1 year after completion of the course of primary vaccination, then every 5-10 years.
SIDE EFFECT
Rarely, fever; there is a slight erythema at the injection site.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Acute infectious diseases; allergic reactions to streptomycin.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
This vaccine can be used in combination with other vaccines for injections, incl. with vaccines for the prevention of diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, hepatitis B and infections caused by Haemophilus influenzae type b.
