OVERDOSE

Currently, cases of an overdose of Buscupan are not described, therefore the following symptoms and recommendations are of a theoretical nature.

Symptoms: urinary retention, dry mouth, redness of the skin, tachycardia, suppression of GI motility, transient visual impairment.

Treatment: gastric lavage with activated charcoal and then with 15% magnesium sulfate solution.
Further application of holinomimetics is shown. When glaucoma locally prescribed pilocarpine (in the form of eye drops). If necessary, prescribe holinomimetiki for systemic use (for example, injected / m or / in neostigmine at a dose of 0.5-2.5 mg); supportive and symptomatic therapy; at a paralysis of a respiratory musculation - intubatsija and IVL; with a delay in urine - a bladder catheterization.
DRUG INTERACTION

Buscopan can enhance the anticholinergic effect of antihistamines, tricyclic antidepressants, quinidine, amantadine, disopyramide.

Simultaneous application of Buscopan and dopamine antagonists (metoclopramide) leads to a weakening of the action on the gastrointestinal tract of both drugs.

Buscopan can enhance tachycardia caused by beta-adrenomimetics.
