PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT
The drug causes a specific lysis of pathogens of bacterial dysentery.
INDICATIONS
- treatment and prevention of bacterial dysentery caused by Shigella flexneri serovars 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and Shigella sonnei.
DOSING MODE
Treatment and prevention of bacterial dysentery in adults and children from one year. An important condition for effective phage therapy is the preliminary determination of the phage sensitivity of the pathogen and the early use of the drug.
The drug is intended for oral administration. To treat the drug take 3 times a day for 1 hour before meals from the first day of the disease for 7-10 days.
Recommended dosage of the drug

In dysentery, characterized by a weakly expressed colitis syndrome, and in the period of convalescence, a combination of a double intake of tablets with a single rectal administration of a single age-related dose of a liquid bacteriophage (Bacteriophage dysentery polyvalent, solution for ingestion and rectal administration) is recommended in accordance with the instructions for its use as an enema after evacuation of the intestine.
For preventive purposes, the drug is recommended for use during group diseases in organized groups and families. Optimal schemes of use - a daily intake of a single age dose. The duration of the drug is determined by the conditions of the epidemiological situation.
