It is active against gram-negative aerobic pathogens (Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Proteus spp., Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp., Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Neisseria meningitidis, Haemophilus influenzae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Entero-Citrobacter spp.), Does not act on Gram-positive microorganisms and anaerobes. Possible appointment with allergies to penicillins, cephalosporins and carbapenems. Between the aztreonam and aminoglycosides, there is cross-resistance. Rarely causes dysbacteriosis.
With the / m introduction, absorption is fast.
T max - 1 h. C max - after intravenous administration 0.5, 1 and 2 g - 54, 90 and 204 Ојg / ml, respectively. Passes histohematological barriers and penetrates well into tissues. T 1/2 - 1.7 hours (with normal kidney function), if the excretory function is impaired and in old age - lengthens. It penetrates through the BBB during inflammation of the meninges, penetrates the placenta, is excreted in breast milk. It is slightly metabolized in the liver.60-75% is excreted by the kidneys unchanged, 12% - with bile. With hemodialysis, the concentration in the blood decreases by 30-60%.
