PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT

A drug that stimulates regeneration processes for topical application in ophthalmology.
The active substance of the preparation is a glycoprotein, isolated from blood serum of cattle.
Adelon ® stimulates reparative processes in the cornea of the eye, promoting the activation of fibroblastic elements, prevents the development of the inflammatory process, the proliferation of scar tissue, the growth of blood vessels in the cornea.

The pharmacological action of Adgelon В® is due to its ability to modulate the adhesion interactions of cells of mesenchymal origin, as well as its ability to inhibit the processes of lipid peroxidation, which can be considered as a universal mechanism of damage to cell membrane structures under various pathological conditions, the action of extreme factors, and aging.

In the case of burn damage to the eyes, the therapeutic effect of Adegelon is noted by the 14th day and is accompanied by a significant proliferation of fibroblastic elements infiltrating the injured corneal tissue, while the vector orientation of the proliferating cells imitates the original morphological structure of the cornea.
