ZUKLOPENTIKSOL (Zuclopentixol).

     (Z) -4-[3-(2-Hlortioksanten-9- ilidene) - propyl] -1 - piperazinetanol.

     Synonyms : Klopiksol, Klopiksol- akufaz, Clopixol, Clopixol-accuphase.

     Like hlorprotiksenu, zuklopentiksol has antipsihoticheskoe and sedative effects.

     Indications for use are mostly primary forms of acute and chronic illness in the phase of deterioration.

     Depending on the pharmaceutical form of a drug used to cupping psychoses and long antipsihoticheskoy therapy.

     For edema psychoses designate usually intramuscularly (in the upper outer quadrant of rump) klopiksol- akufaz on 0,05-0,15 g (50-150 mg), when necessary to repeat injection after 1-3 days.

     Supportive therapy can be of use in daily dose tablets 0,01-0,05 g (50-150 mg) or intramuscular introduction zuklopentiksola dekanoata (see).

     Preparation is well tolerated, but, as in the application Neuroleptics may extrapiramidale development disorders. In addition, there are : drowsiness, dry mouth, a breach of accommodation, constipation, delayed urination, Orthostatic Hypotension and other side effects.

     Caution must be exercised in convulsant syndrome, chronic hepatitis, heart disease.

     The drug increases the effect of oppressive central nervous system, reduced - levodopa; Metoclopramide and piperazine increase the risk extrapiramidale disorders.

     Product : pills to 0,002; 0.01 and 0.025 g (2; 10 and 25 mg N.50) (100); 5% oil zuklopentiksola acetate in injectable 1 and 2 ml.
