POLISPONIN (Polysponinum).

     Dry extract of the roots and rhizomes dioskorei nipponskoy (Dioscorea nipponica kino Ma), herewith. dioskoreynyh (Dioscoreacea e). Contains water steroid glycosides (saponins) in the amount not less than 17%.

     Amorphous hygroscopic powder from cream to brown.

     Some steroid compounds, including those contained in dioskoree and other plants can have a moderate effect gipoholesterinemicheskoe and proposed for use in the treatment of mild atherosclerosis (in addition to an appropriate diet and other means).

     Assign inwards in the form of tablets of 0.1 - 0.2 g 2 - 3 times a day after meals. Treatment cycles of 20 to 30 days - from 7 to 10-day intervals. The course of treatment is usually 3 to 4 months. If necessary, hold the same course after 3 - 4-month break.

     In applying polisponina could experience side effects : loss of appetite, sweating, sometimes with long-term use appears skin itch. Following the lifting of drug side effects disappear.
