PLATIN (Platinum).

     Rad Digidroksidiamindihloroplatina (II).

     Melkokristallichesky powder from light yellow to light yellow with a greenish white color.

     Moderately soluble in water and isotonic sodium chloride solution.

     It has antitumor activity (see Tsisplatin).

     Applied platinum in adults with malignant tumors of testis (teratoblastoma, embryo cancer, seminomy etc.), ovarian cancer, head and neck tumors, melanoma.

     Enter platinum intravenous drip (40 drops per minute) in the dose of 80,100 mg per 1 m 2 body surface each day during the 4 - 5 days. Repeated courses conducted at intervals of 3 to 4 weeks (in the absence of events intoxication).

     Solutions prepared immediately before use, by dissolving 15 or 30 mg of the drug in five or 10 ml of sterile water for injection, and then add 400 ml isotonic sodium chloride solution.

     Possible side effects, precautions and contraindications are the same as in the application of cisplatin.

     Product : dried powder or porous mass (white with a slightly yellowish sheen) in ampoules of 0,015 or 0.03 g (15 - 30 mg) in a package of 10 vials.

     Storage : List A. In the dark place at a temperature no higher than  +10 C.

     Note.

     Drugs platinum imbibed skin and mucous lining.

     Work with them to be rubber gloves and respirators.

     If your solution to the skin, they should be washed plenty of hot water.
