FENATSETIN (Phenacetinum). 1-Etoksi-4- atsetaminobenzol.

     Synonyms: Acetophenetidin, Acetophenidin, Acetraphenalide, Phenacetin, Phenedin, Phenin and others.

     White powder melkokristallichesky odourless, slightly bitter taste. Very little soluble in water, soluble in boiling hard water (1:70), soluble in alcohol (1:16). Solutions are acidic reaction.

     Is analgesics and pain action. For anti activity far below salitsilatam, pirazolona derivatives and other anti-modern facilities.

     There are indications that Phenacetin was moderate euphoria.

     Apply Phenacetin mainly in conjunction with other tools (analginom, caffeine, etc.) in neuralgia, headache. Assign an adult on the inside of 0.25 - 0.5 g 2 - 3 times a day.

     Higher doses for adults inside: single 0.5 g daily 1, 5 g.
