PANAVIR (Panavirum).

     Cleaned extract (geksozny glycoside) of shoots (sprouts), potato (Solanum tuberosum).

     Brown amorphous powder. Almost nerastvorim in alcohol, acetone, hloramine; Soluble in water.

     Has antivirus activity against DNA and RNA containing viruses : herpes I and II types, tick-borne encephalitis, hepatitis C, influenza, rabies, Epstein-Barr virus, Adenoviruses, cytomegalovirus.

     Mechanism of action related to the closure of viral replication protein induction of interferon, increasing the viability of infected cells.

     Applied mainly intravenously with tick-borne encephalitis and chronic recurrent genital herpes. There is evidence of the effectiveness of the gel product to remove vulgar warts, papillomas, sharp chlamydia, polyps and shellfish.

     Assign an adult intravenously to 0.2 mg m intervals of 24 or 48 hours. If necessary, through 1 month course of treatment can be repeated.

     In overdose probably reversible disruption of the kidney and spleen.

     The drug should not appoint children, pregnant and breastfeeding.

     Method of issuance : 0.004% intravenous solution in ampoules and vials of 5 ml, 0.01% to 2 mL and 0.02% for 1-mL (0.2 mg); Gel ink to 3 g.
