LIPOFUNDIN (Lipofundinum) *.

     The fatty emulsion prepared from purified soybean oil, emulsified with isotonic (2, 5%) of glycerin solution, containing particles (balls) butter size of 0.1 to 1, 0 micron, which is the size hilomikronov in human blood.

     A similar drug is also called Intralipid (Intralipid).

     Lipofundin S 10% contains one or 100 grams of soya oil and 7, 5 g of soya fosfatidov; Lipofundin S 20%, respectively, 200 and 1915

     Applied lipofundin (intralipid) for parenteral nutrition in the aftercare period, with extensive burns, severe infectious diseases, unconscious state, stomach and oesophagus cancer and other conditions under which shows the use of drugs for parenteral nutrition.

     Enter lipofundin intravenous drip usually at the rate of 1 -2 g fat per 1 kg of body weight per day, about 10 to 20 ml lipofundina S 10%, or 5 to 10 ml lipofundina S 20%. The introduction of 500 ml of the drug should last about 3 to 5 h (10% in the application of the drug), or 5 to 8 h (at 20% drug use). Start at the 15 - 20 drops per minute in the first 10 - 15 minutes, then gradually (within 30 min) increased the number of drops (no more than 60 drops per minute).

     Since the introduction of patient preparation in the overall dose corresponding to 1000-1500 g fat, it is necessary to take a break in treatment, during which the plasma blood must be completely transparent.      The drug is contraindicated in shock, heart attack, stroke, severe liver disease, Moyle, nefroticheskom syndrome, severely expressed atherosclerosis.
