EPITALAMIN (Epytalaminum).

     The product containing fractions of polipeptidnyh allocated from the area of the brain epitalamo- epifizarnoy cattle.

     Dried powder white or white with a yellowish tinge color. Moderately soluble in water.

     Epitalamus (nadtalamicheskaya of the brain) and the epiphysis (pinealnaya or pineal, iron cord) sekretiruyut many neyrogormonov (including melatonin) involved in the regulation of the endocrine system, and in particular gipotalamusa front of pituitary and other body systems. Thus, they normalize gonadotropnyh pituitary hormone secretion (see Gonadotropiny).

     Epitalamin as drug dealing as the endocrine system, is used in the treatment of climacteric miokardiodistrofy involving violations of ovarian function.

     Apply epitalamin intramuscularly. The contents of the vial (10 mg) dissolve in 1 - 2 ml isotonic sodium chloride solution, or 0,25 - 0,5% solution immediately before Novocaine injections. Enter daily for 5 to 10 mg for 5 -10 days. Repeat as necessary to course through 3-6 months.

     Form release: in the glass vials of 0.01 g (10 mg) for 5 or 10 bottles in the package.
