DIMETINDEN (Dimetindene).

     N, N-Dimethyl [1-(2-piridinil) ethyl] -1 H-inden-2- etanamin.

     Synonym : Fenistil, Fenistil.

     N1- gistaminovyh receptor blockers. Has antibradikininovymi, m-holinoblokiruyuschimi and sedative effects.

     When ingestion rapidly and completely absorbed, bioavailability of approximately 70% (when using ? 10%), C max, 2 h, T? - 6 h (for retardnoy form 11 hrs), passes through the blood-brain barrier; out of urine and bile in the form of metabolites.

     Indication : urticaria, swelling Quincke allergodermatosis with the expressed itch, allergic rhinitis and conjunctivitis; Exanthema with infectious diseases, burns (gel).

     Applied interior and local.

     Inside designate adults and children over 12 to 1 capsule ointment at night or 20-40 drops three times daily, children from 1 month to 1 year of 3-10 drops from one year to three years and 10-15 drops from 3 to 12 years, 15-20 drops three times daily. The course of treatment 10-15 days.

     Side effects are rare.

     The drug is contraindicated in the first trimester of pregnancy.
