Korazol (corazolum)
KORAZOL (Corazolum) 1, 5-Pentametilentetrazol.
Synonyms : Angiazol, Cardiazol, Centrazol, Deumacar, Diovascol, Leptazol, Metrazol, Pentamethazolum, Pentazol, Pentetrazolum, Pentrazol, Pentylentetrazol, Phrenazole, Tetracor and others.
The white crystalline powder. Very easily soluble in water and alcohol. Aqueous solutions (H p 6 - 8 0, 0) + 100 sterilized with C for 30 min.
Has the incident effect on the respiratory and sosudodvigatelny points. Initiation breathing, increased blood pressure and improve blood circulation especially expressed, if these centres are suffering brain distraught. Direct effects on the heart and vascular medicine will not help.
In high doses, causes stir the brain and spinal cord and can have <<WAKE>> effect in acute poisoning by drugs and narcotics. In high doses korazol also convulsant effects associated primarily with the effects of brain motor area and only partly to the influence of the spinal cord.
Last korazol widely used to shock, asphyxiation, weakening the heart during surgical interventions, as well as the poisoning of drugs, drugs, analgetikami.
In psychiatric practice used korazolom convulsant medication for schizophrenia.
Recently, the use corazolum (and other analeptikov) in the poisoning of drugs were considered unsuitable because it increases the brain needs oxygen.
