AKARBOZA (Acarbose).

     Synonym : Glyukobay, Glucobay.

     Oligosaharid, an inhibitor? - Amylase pancreas and intestinal? - Glyukozidazy. Oligo- fission stops, and three disaharidov to glucose and other monosaharov and slows glucose intake in thin intestine, thereby preventing the development postprandialnoy (arising after meals) giperglikemii.

     Absorbed in part (35% of dose), with max of 1 h, T? 2-h; being in the digestive tract biotransformation (intestinal bacteria and digestive enzymes), presented mostly in faeces.

     Applied as a support (with diet) for the treatment of diabetes insulinnezavisimogo. In insulinzavisimom diabetes is not shown.

     Assign inside early meal (not liquid), or to the food, starting with 0.05 g, gradually increasing the dose to 0.2 g three times a day.

     The drug is usually well. Chance of flatulence, diarrhea.

     Contraindications : diabetic ketoacidosis, liver cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, kidney function expressed violations, pregnancy, breast-feeding.

     Product : tablets for 0.05 and 0.1 g (50 and 100 mg) (N. 15, 30).
