PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT
Androgenic agent, contains esters of testosterone.
Affects the development and function of the external genitalia, prostate gland, seminal vesicles, as well as secondary sexual characteristics (voice, hair). Participates in the formation of the constitution of the body and sexual behavior, activates libido and potency, stimulates spermatogenesis. It is an antagonist of female sex hormones - estrogens. It has an anabolic effect, which manifests itself in stimulating protein synthesis, delaying the necessary for the synthesis of protein potassium, sulfur, phosphorus, increasing calcium fixation in the bones and increasing muscle mass of the body. Esters of testosterone have different rates of absorption and excretion, which ensures rapid development of the effect and long-term action (up to 4 weeks) after a single injection.
INDICATIONS
Substitution therapy for primary and secondary hypogonadism, eunuchoidism;
impotence of endocrine genesis, post-stroke syndrome; male menopause; oligospermia;osteoporosis caused by a deficiency of androgens. Hormone-dependent tumors in women - breast cancer, as well as menopausal disorders in women (together with estrogens) and functional bleeding in hyperestrogenism; uterine fibroids.
DOSING MODE
Established individually, depending on the indications, the stage of the disease, the scheme of therapy.

SIDE EFFECT
From the digestive system: nausea, cholestatic jaundice, increased levels of aminotransferases.

Other: edema, hypercalcemia, dizziness, thrombophlebitis.

Local reactions: soreness in the injection site, redness and itching.

In women: the phenomenon of masculinization (virilism) - coarsening of the voice, excessive growth of hair on the face and body, pastosity of the face.

In men: priapism, increased sexual arousal, increased libido and frequent erections;
gynecomastia.
In boys: premature puberty, premature closure of the epiphyses of bones.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Prostate cancer, gynecomastia;
impaired liver and kidney function; hypercalcemia, heart failure. Severe asthenia, elderly men, pubertal period in boys.
APPLICATION FOR FUNCTIONS OF THE LIVER
Contraindicated in the violation of kidney function.

APPLICATION FOR VIOLATIONS OF THE FUNCTION OF KIDNEYS
Contraindicated in the violation of liver function.

APPLICATION FOR CHILDREN
Contraindicated in the puberty period in boys.

APPLICATION IN ELDERLY PATIENTS
Contraindicated in old age in men.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
In the case of androgen-dependent side effects, treatment should be stopped until they disappear, and then continue with reduced doses of the drug.

In the process of treatment, patients with heart failure, arterial hypertension, epilepsy, migraine and with impaired renal and hepatic function should be monitored.

DRUG INTERACTION
When combined, inducers of microsomal liver enzymes (including rifampicin, barbiturates, carbamazepine, salicylates, phenylbutazone, phenytoin) reduce the effect of testosterone, a mixture of esters.
