A sulfur-containing amino acid that forms in the body during the conversion of cysteine.
Promotes improvement of energy processes. Stimulates reparative and regenerative processes in diseases of a dystrophic nature and / or diseases, accompanied by a sharp violation of the metabolism of the eye tissues. Promotes the normalization of the functions of cell membranes, the activation of energy metabolic processes.
For oral administration: cardiovascular insufficiency of various etiologies, intoxication with cardiac glycosides, diabetes mellitus type 1 and type 2.

For parenteral administration: as a part of combined preparations, cardiovascular insufficiency (of various etiology), intoxication with cardiac glycosides.

For use in ophthalmology: dystrophic lesions of the retina, incl.
hereditary taperotorhinal abiotrophies, corneal dystrophy, cataracts (senile, diabetic, traumatic, radiation), as well as trauma to the cornea (as a stimulant of reparative processes).
The dosage regimen depends on the indications and the drug dosage form used.

Possible: allergic reactions.

Hypersensitivity to taurine.

There is evidence of the effectiveness of taurine as a means of reducing intraocular pressure in patients with glaucoma.
