PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT

Spasmoanalgesic.
The composition of the drug includes non-narcotic analgesic metamizole sodium (analgin), myotropic antispasmodic drug pituophenone hydrochloride and anticholinergic agent fenpiverinia bromide.
Metamizole is a derivative of pyrazolone.
It has analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory action.
Pitophenone, like papaverine, has a direct myotropic effect on the smooth muscles of the internal organs and causes it to relax.

Fenpierinium due to anticholinergic action has an additional relaxing effect on smooth muscle.

The combination of the three components of the drug leads to a mutual enhancement of their pharmacological action, expressed in relieving the pain, relaxing the smooth muscles, reducing the fever.

INDICATIONS

- mild or moderate pain syndrome with spasms of smooth muscles of internal organs - renal and biliary colic, intestinal spasms, dysmenorrhea and other spastic conditions of internal organs;

- for short-term symptomatic treatment for headaches, migraine pain, joint pain, neuralgia, ischialgia, myalgia;

- as an adjuvant can be used to reduce pain after surgical and diagnostic interventions;

- to reduce high fever with colds and infectious and inflammatory diseases.

DOSING MODE

Adults and adolescents over 15 years are prescribed inside (preferably after eating) 1-2 tablets 2-3 times / day.
The daily dose should not exceed 6 tab. Duration of reception no more than 5 days.

Dosage for children 6-8 years -1/2 tablets; for children 9-12 years old - 3/4 tablets; for children 13-15 years - 1 tablet; multiplicity of appointment - 2-3 times / day.
Other dosage regimens are possible only after consultation with a physician.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

With caution and under the supervision of a doctor, the drug should be administered to patients with impaired liver and / or kidney function, with a tendency to hypotension, bronchospasm, and also with increased individual sensitivity to NSAIDs or non-narcotic analgesics.

With prolonged (more than a week) application, it is necessary to monitor the picture of peripheral blood and indicators of the functional state of the liver.

Sometimes metamizole metabolites can stain urine red.

OVERDOSE

In case of an overdose, the following symptoms may occur : vomiting, dry mouth, sweating, accommodation, hypotension, drowsiness, confusion, impaired liver and kidney function, convulsions.

Treatment is symptomatic.

DRUG INTERACTION

The simultaneous use of revalgine with other non-narcotic analgesics may lead to a mutual enhancement of toxic effects.

Tricyclic antidepressants, oral contraceptives, allopurinol disrupt metamizole metabolism in the liver and increase its toxicity.

Barbiturates, phenylbutazone and other inducers of microsomal liver enzymes weaken the action of metamizole.

Simultaneous use with cyclosporine reduces the level of the latter in the blood.

Sedatives and tranquilizers increase the analgesic effect of Revalgine.

If you need to use these and other medications at the same time, you should consult your doctor.
