PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT
Phytopreparation, used in functional disorders of urination associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia.
Inhibits the synthesis of dihydrotestosterone (due to blockade of 5-alpha reductase type I and II) and its fixation to cytosolic receptors, which prevents the penetration of the hormone into the nucleus and leads to a decrease in protein synthesis. Reduces the formation of dihydrotestosterone and phospholipase A2 and the release of arachidonic acid, reduces the synthesis of prostaglandins, which regulate the tone and peristalsis of the lower parts of the urinary tract. Has vasoprotective and anti-inflammatory effect, reduces vascular permeability.
Antiandrogenic and vasoprotective actions contribute to reducing symptoms of benign prostatic hypertrophy.
PHARMACOKINETICS
The action of the drug Prostamol Uno is the combined action of the components of the extract of the fruits of Sabalis serrulatae, therefore it is not possible to carry out kinetic studies.
INDICATIONS
- functional disorders of urination caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia of the I and II stages;
- to eliminate the symptoms of dysuria (urination disorder, night pollakiuria, pain syndrome) with chronic prostatitis (as part of complex therapy).
DOSING MODE
The drug is prescribed for 320 mg (1 capsule) 1 time / day. The duration of the course of treatment is determined by the doctor.
Capsules should be taken at the same time of the day, after eating, without chewing, with a small amount of liquid.
SIDE EFFECT
Possible: allergic reactions.
In rare cases: pain in the stomach, nausea.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
- Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
The drug reduces the severity of symptoms caused by prostatic hyperplasia, without reducing its size.
