PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT

Multivitamins with macro elements.
Pikovit В® D contains the 10 most important vitamins, as well as calcium and phosphorus.
B group vitamins (B1, B2, B6, B12, pantothenic acid and nicotinamide) are involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats.

Folic acid (vitamin B c ) is inactive, but in the body it is converted into biologically active coenzyme - tetrahydrofolic acid, which is necessary for the biosynthesis of nucleic acids.
It enhances growth and is involved in the ripening of red blood cells. Folic acid is involved in the formation and regeneration of platelets and their functions.
Retinol (vitamin A) is necessary for the development of epithelial cells and the synthesis of visual pigment.

Колекальциферол (vitamin D) participates in an exchange of calcium and promotes correct mineralization of bones and a teeth.

Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) accelerates the absorption of iron and takes part in many oxidation-reduction processes in the body.

Calcium and phosphorus play a key role in the mineralization of bones and teeth.
Calcium ions activate numerous enzymes, they take part in regulating the tone of the heart muscle, in the transmission of nerve impulses and regulate the permeability of cell membranes.
Water-soluble vitamins (B vitamins, vitamin C and biotin) are well absorbed in amounts corresponding to the daily needs of the organism.
The amounts exceeding the saturation level of the tissues are excreted by the kidneys and, to a lesser extent, through the gastrointestinal tract.
After ingestion, fat-soluble vitamins A and D are well absorbed from the small intestine in the presence of fats.
Higher amounts of fat-soluble vitamins accumulate in the liver and, therefore, are more toxic than water-soluble vitamins.
Vitamin-mineral tablets Pikovit В® D do not contain sugar.

The preparation contains sweeteners maltitol and mannitol, which do not adversely affect the teeth.

Patients with diabetes mellitus
may take Pikovit В® D. But remember that 1 tablet contains 0.9 g of maltitol, i.e. The daily dose is 3.6-6.3 g of maltitol.
