PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT
Extract of palm fruits creeping reduces edema and obstruction in periglundular, stromal and glandular tissues of the prostate proper. Increases the activity in the prostate tissue of the enzyme 3? -hydroxysteride-oxidoreductase (3? -HSOR), involved in the metabolism of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), and the creatine kinase enzyme. In prostate tissue, an increase in the content of myristic and lauric acids contained in the preparation of Palprostes can be observed. In vitro experiments demonstrated inhibition of the activity of 5? -reductase by the action of these acids.
PHARMACOKINETICS
Studies of pharmacokinetic properties were not carried out, because palms creeping fruit extract is a multicomponent mixture, and the study of its pharmacokinetics is not possible.
INDICATIONS
- benign prostatic hyperplasia (stages I and II);
- in the complex therapy of chronic prostatitis for the elimination of dysuric symptoms (urination disorder, night pollakiuria, pain syndrome, etc.).
DOSING MODE
Inside, daily, preferably at the same time, after eating 1 capsule 1 time per day. Capsules swallow whole, without chewing, squeezed a small amount of liquid.
It is recommended to take Palprostes for a long time. The duration of treatment is at least 3 months. The optimal scheme and repeated courses of treatment are established and appointed by the doctor individually in each case on the basis of a diagnostic examination of the patient.
SIDE EFFECT
