A broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent, a derivative of nitrofuran.
Has antibacterial, antiprotozoal and antifungal action. Nifuratel has high efficiency and low toxicity, which causes a wide range of its clinical applications.
Highly effective against Papilobacter and Helicobacter pylori (especially Helicobacter pylori resistant to metronidazole), Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms.

The preparation is active against Enterococcus faecalis, Enterococcus faecium, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, Shigella flexneri 2a, Shigella flexneri 6, Shigella sonnei, Salmonella typhi, Salmonella typhimurium, Salmonella enteridis, Klebsiella spp., Enterobacter spp., Serratia spp. , Citrobacter spp., Morganella spp., Rettgerella spp., Pragia fontium, Budvicia aquatica, Rachnella aquatilis and Acinetobacter spp., Other atypical enterobacteria, as well as protozoa (amoebas, lamblia);
less active against Proteus mirabilis, Proteus vulgaris, Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
It is the drug of choice for the therapy of bacterial intestinal infections, incl.
salmonellosis, shigellosis.
It is active against Trichomonas vaginalis;
It is highly active against fungi of the genus Candida.
Completely eliminated from the body by the kidneys, having a strong antibacterial effect in the urinary tract.


After taking the drug inside, the nifurate is rapidly absorbed from the digestive tract.
Penetrates through the BBB and placental barriers, excreted in breast milk.Metabolised in the liver and in muscle tissue. Completely excreted in the urine (30-50% unchanged).

- chronic inflammatory diseases of the upper GI tract associated with Helicobacter pylori;

- intestinal amebiasis;

- giardiasis;

- vulvovaginal infections caused by susceptible pathogens (Trichomonas, Chlamydia, Candida fungi, bacteria);

- urinary tract infections (including pyelonephritis, urethritis, cystitis, pyelitis).


The drug is taken orally.

In inflammatory diseases of the upper gastrointestinal tract associated with Helicobacter pylori, adults are prescribed 2 tab.
2-3 times / day; children - in a dose of 30 mg / kg / day in 2-3 hours. Duration of admission is 7 days.
At intestinal amebiasis, adults are prescribed 2 tab.
2-3 times / day for 10 days. For children, the recommended dose is 30 mg / kg / day in 2-3 divided doses.
With giardiasis, adults are prescribed 2 tab.
2-3 times / day; children - in a dose of 30 mg / kg / day in 2-3 hours. Duration of admission is 7 days.
For infections of the urinary tract to adults , depending on the severity of the disease, the drug is prescribed for 1-2 tablets.
3 times / day for 7-14 days. For children, the recommended dose is 30-60 mg / kg / day in 2 divided doses. On the recommendation of a doctor, the course of treatment can be prolonged or repeated.
For vaginal infections, adults are prescribed 1 tab.
3 times / day for 7 days (both partners should take the drug). For children, the recommended daily dose is 10 mg / kg / day in 2 divided doses daily for 10 days.

On the part of the digestive system: nausea, vomiting, bitterness in the mouth, diarrhea, heartburn.

Allergic reactions: skin rash, itching.


- deficiency of sugar / isomaltase, fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome;

- Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.


The use of the drug during pregnancy is possible only according to strict indications, if the prospective benefit for the mother exceeds the potential risk for the fetus, because
nifuratel penetrates the placental barrier.
If it is necessary to use the drug during lactation, the question of stopping breastfeeding should be solved, since
Nifuratel is excreted in breast milk.

When treating vaginal infections only with the drug Makmiror for oral administration, it is recommended to increase the dose of this drug to 4-6 tab. / Day.
During the treatment period, you should refrain from having sexual intercourse.
Impact on the ability to drive vehicles and manage mechanisms

The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and engage in potentially dangerous activities that require increased concentration and speed of psychomotor reactions.


To date, there have been no cases of drug overdose.


Macmirror enhances the antifungal action of nystatin when used together.
