PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT
Magnesium participates in most metabolic reactions, activates more than 300 enzymes. An indispensable element in the processes ensuring the receipt and expenditure of energy. Participates in the balance of electrolytes, ion transport, membrane permeability, in the regulation of nerve impulse transmission and in muscle contraction.It is a natural calcium antagonist.
PHARMACOKINETICS
Magnesium is slowly and not completely absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract, with malabsorption syndrome and eating foods rich in fats, magnesium absorption decreases. The unabsorbed part of magnesium is released through the intestine.
Serum contains about 1% of absorbed magnesium (0.8-1.0 mmol / l). Approximately 45% of magnesium binds to intracellular proteins and macroergic phosphates and is deposited in skeletal muscles, kidneys, liver and myocardium. The remainder is deposited in bone tissue; in small amounts - in the tissue fluid and red blood cells.
Magnesium ions penetrate the blood-brain barrier and the placental barrier.
Absorbed magnesium is eliminated by the kidneys, and only a small part is excreted with bile and through sweat glands. Partially resorbed in renal tubules. The rate of excretion by the kidneys is proportional to the concentration in the plasma and the value of glomerular filtration.
INDICATIONS
Magnesium deficiency, accompanied by such symptoms as: minor sleep disorders, increased irritability, mild anxiety, fatigue, spasm of the calf muscles.
DOSING MODE
Inside.
Adults and children over 12 years of age - 1 package every day. Dissolve the contents of 1 packet in 0.5 cups of fruit juice, tea or water.
Usually the duration of treatment is one month.
SIDE EFFECT

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Increased individual sensitivity to the drug components, severe renal failure, atrioventricular blockade, myasthenia gravis, hypermagnesia, children under 12 years.

OVERDOSE
Symptoms of overdose: lowering blood pressure, nausea, vomiting, slowing reflexes, respiratory depression, coma, cardiac arrest, anuria.
Treatment: IV administration of calcium and / or subcutaneous injection of 1-2 ampoules (0.5-1 mg / ml) of neostigmine methyl sulfate; intravenous or oral administration of 0.9% sodium chloride; in the case of renal failure - hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis.
DRUG INTERACTION
Aminoglycoside antibiotics, cisplatin and cyclosporin accelerate the excretion of magnesium.
The ions of magnesium, iron, fluoride and tetracycline mutually affect the absorption of each other, therefore it is necessary to observe a 2-to-3-hour interval between the intake of Magnesium-Diasporal 300 and preparations containing the above substances. Magnesium weakens the effect of indirect anticoagulants, reduces the absorption of iron.
