Composition, form of production and packaging
A syrup
in the form of a liquid of red color with the smell of raspberry and sweet taste.

salbutamol (in the form of sulfate) 1 mg

bromohexine hydrochloride 2 mg

guaifenesin 50 mg

menthol 500 Ојg

Auxiliary substances: sucrose, citric acid monohydrate, sodium edetate, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, propylene glycol, glycerol, sorbitol solution 70%, menthol, raspberry flavor, purified water, 4C reddish dye.

PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT

Pharmacodynamics

A combination drug consisting of ingredients used for the symptomatic treatment of cough for various pulmonary diseases.
It has bronchodilator, mucolytic and expectorant action.
Salbutamol has a bronchodilator effect by selective action on the beta-2-adrenergic bronchial receptors.

Bromgexin dilutes sputum, increases its volume.
Mucolytic action is due to the ability to depolymerise and dilute mucoproteins and mucopolysaccharide fibers.
Guaifenesin has an expectorant effect.
Reduces adhesiveness, surface tension of sputum, which improves its departure.
Menthol has a weak antiseptic properties has a calming effect and reduces irritation of the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract.

INDICATIONS

Acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases, accompanied by difficulty in sputum discharge (bronchial asthma, tracheobronchitis, obstructive bronchitis, pneumonia, emphysema, pneumoconiosis, etc.).

DOSING MODE

Preparation Kashnol appoint adults and children over 12 years of 10 ml (2 teaspoons) 3 times a day,

children under 6 years - 5 ml (1 teaspoon) 3 times a day,

children from 6 to 12 years - 5-10 ml (1-2 teaspoons) 3 times a day.

Between the use of regular doses of the drug requires a break of at least 6 hours.

SIDE EFFECT

Sometimes there is headache, dizziness, increased nervous excitability, sleep disturbance, drowsiness, tremor, convulsions, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, peptic ulcer and palpitations, palpitations, possibly urine staining pink, allergic reactions (rash, urticaria ), lowering of arterial pressure, collapse.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;
pregnancy, lactation, tachycardia, myocarditis, heart defects, decompensated diabetes mellitus, thyrotoxicosis, glaucoma, hepatic or renal insufficiency, gastric and duodenal ulcer in the acute stage, sucrose / isomaltose deficiency, fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption (i.e. The preparation contains sucrose and sorbitol).
Edit Warnings

The drug Kashnol should be used carefully in patients with diabetes mellitus, hypertension, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenal ulcer in remission.
If you need to treat Kashnol during lactation, breastfeeding should be discontinued.
PREGNANCY AND LACTATION

The drug is contraindicated for use in pregnancy.

OVERDOSE

No cases of overdose have been reported.
Possible enhancement of the above side effects.
Treatment is symptomatic.

DRUG INTERACTION

Other beta-2-adrenomimetic agents and theophylline increase the effect of salbutamol and increase the likelihood of side effects.

Cough is not prescribed concomitantly with drugs containing codeine and other antitussive agents, as this makes it difficult to move away diluted sputum.

Included in the drug Kashnol, bromhexine promotes the penetration of antibiotics (erythromycin, cephalexin, oxytetracycline) into the lung tissue.

It is not recommended to use Kashnol at the same time as nonselective beta-adrenoreceptor blockers, such as propranolol.

Included in the composition of the drug Kashnol salbutamol is not recommended for patients who receive MAO inhibitors.

Diuretics and preparations of glucocorticosteroids increase the hypokalemic effect of salbutamol.

Alkaline drink is not recommended at the same time as Kashnol.
