PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT

Paracetamol has an analgesic and antipyretic effect. The mechanism of action is associated with the ability to inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandins and the effect on the center of thermoregulation in the hypothalamus.
Caffeine reduces drowsiness and fatigue, increases mental and physical performance, increases heart rate, increases blood pressure in hypotension.
Codeine has a central antitussive effect by suppressing the excitability of the cough center, as well as an analgesic effect caused by the excitation of opiate receptors.
Propiphenazone has an analgesic effect.

INDICATIONS

DOSING MODE

OVERDOSE
Symptoms: nausea, ringing in the ears, gastralgia, increased sweating, pallor of the skin, tachycardia.
Treatment: gastric lavage followed by administration of activated charcoal. If necessary, conduct symptomatic therapy.
DRUG INTERACTION
It is not recommended to use Caffetin concurrently with barbiturates, antiepileptics, zidovudine, rifampicin and ethanol, the risk of hepatotoxic action increases.
Paracetamol, which is a part of Caffetin, increases the period of deducing chloramphenicol 5-fold.
At repeated reception paracetamol can strengthen action of anticoagulants - derivatives of a dicumarin.
Metoclopramide accelerates the absorption of paracetamol.
Caffeine, which is a part of Caffetin, accelerates the absorption of ergotamine.
Codeine, which is part of Caffetin, enhances the effect of sleeping pills, analgesics and sedatives.
