PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT

Antifungal preparation of a wide spectrum of action for external application, an imidazole derivative.
Antimycotic effect associated with a violation of the synthesis of ergosterol, which is part of the cell membrane of fungi, which causes a change in its structure and properties and leads to lysis of the cell.
To clotrimazole sensitive dermatophytes, yeast-like fungi (the genus Candida, Torulopsis glabrata, Rhodotorula), mold fungi, as well as the causative agent of the varicoloured Pityriasis versicolor and the causative agent of erythrasma.

Has antimicrobial effect against gram-positive (staphylococcus and streptococcus) and Gram-negative bacteria (Bacteroides, Gardnerella vaginalis), and also against Trichomonas vaginalis.

PHARMACOKINETICS

With topical application, clotrimazole is absorbed to a small extent through the mucosa.

INDICATIONS

- candidal stomatitis.

DOSING MODE

The solution is applied to the affected parts of the oral cavity, preferably with a cotton swab, in a dose of 10-20 drops (0.5-1 ml) 3-4 times / day.
Make sure all affected areas are treated. The improvement usually comes on 3-5 days of therapy, but the use of the drug must be continued until the clinical manifestations of the disease are completely eliminated.
SIDE EFFECT

The drug is usually well tolerated.

In rare cases , when hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, there are allergic reactions - reddening of the oral mucosa, burning sensation and tingling at the site of the drug, hives.
If irritation occurs, the drug should be discarded.
CONTRAINDICATIONS

- Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

PREGNANCY AND LACTATION

The use of Candid during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding) is possible only if the intended benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus or child.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

The drug is intended for topical application in the oral cavity.

OVERDOSE

Acute overdose with topical application of Candida is unlikely and does not lead to a situation that poses a threat to life.

DRUG INTERACTION

With simultaneous use with amphotericin B, nystatin, the activity of clotrimazole may decrease.

TERMS OF RELEASE FROM PHARMACY

The drug is approved for use as a means of OTC.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF STORAGE

The drug should be stored in a place protected from light and inaccessible to children at a temperature of no higher than 25 В° C.
