INSTRUCTION FOR THE SPECIALIST.

Description of the drug approved by the manufacturer for the printed edition of 2010.

PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT

Interferon alfa-2b human recombinant is a protein obtained through recombinant DNA.
The polypeptide structure of the molecule, biological activity and pharmacological properties are identical to leukocyte interferon alpha-2b.
Interferon alfa-2b human recombinant inhibits the intracellular stages of the development of the herpes simplex virus type I and II, chlamydia, gardnerella, mycoplasma and ureaplasma, has antiviral, immunomodulatory and antibacterial effects.

PHARMACOKINETICS

When the drug is injected interferon alpha-2b human recombinant is absorbed through the mucosa, enters the surrounding tissues, into the lymphatic system, providing a systemic immunomodulatory effect.
Due to partial fixation on the cells of the mucous membrane also has a local effect. When intravaginal application due to high concentration in the focus of infection has a pronounced local antiviral and antibacterial effect. The maximum concentration of interferon in the serum is reached 5 hours after the administration of the drug. Due to the pronounced hydrophilicity of sodium hyaluronate forms a dispersed matrix, promotes the enhancement of the activity and proliferation of cellular elements, accelerates the regeneration of tissues, stimulates angiogenesis. As the main structural element of the human connective tissue, sodium hyaluronate provides a uniform, prolonged penetration of interferon into the bloodstream.
Reduction of the level of serum interferon 12 hours after the administration of the drug necessitates its repeated administration.
