PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT
Anthelmintic preparation. It causes neuromuscular blockade of sensitive helminths and ensures their expulsion from the gastrointestinal tract without stimulation and stimulation of migration of affected helminths. In the lumen of the intestine is effective against mature and immature sensitive helminths of both sexes.
Highly effective against infestations caused by pinworms (Enterobius vermicularis), ascaris (Ascaris lumbricoides), hookworms (Ankylostoma duodenale and Necator americanus).

Metabolism and excretion
Partially metabolized in the liver to K-methyl-1,3-propanediamine.

DOSING MODE
Tablets are prescribed for adults and children over the age of 6 years . Children aged less than 6 years and weighing more than 12 kg are recommended to prescribe the drug in the form of a suspension. Before use, the suspension should be shaken.
1 ml of the suspension contains 50 mg of pyrantel, 1 measuring spoon (2.5 ml) contains 125 mg of pyrantel.
Helmintox can be taken at any time of the day, without prior intake of laxatives, not necessarily on an empty stomach.
The drug is administered once.
In the treatment of enterobiasis and ascariasis, the drug is prescribed once for 12.5 mg / kg of body weight.

SIDE EFFECT
On the part of the digestive system: sometimes - nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite (most often these symptoms are caused by death of helminths), a slight transient increase in liver transaminase activity.
From the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system: headache, dizziness, fatigue, drowsiness or insomnia, hearing loss, hallucinations, confusion, paresthesia.
Allergic reactions: itching, hives, exanthema.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
