PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT

Combination drug for topical application with antimicrobial, antiviral and anti-inflammatory action.

Biklotimol is an antiseptic.
It is active against staphylococci, streptococci and corynebacteria, has a local anesthetic and anti-inflammatory effect. When topical application is characterized by prolonged action.
Lysozyme is a polypeptide mucolytic enzyme that has an antimicrobial effect.
It is active against gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative microorganisms are less sensitive to lysozyme. Promotes an increase in the activity of nonspecific factors of body defense, has anti-inflammatory and mucolytic effects. Lysozyme exhibits antiviral activity (it forms complexes with viruses). Refers to natural factors of body protection.
Enoxolone is a complex triterpen, isolated from glycyrrhizic acid.
Inhibits 11-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase, inactivating cortisol. Has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antiviral effects.
PHARMACOKINETICS

Studies of the pharmacokinetics of Hexalysis have not been conducted.

INDICATIONS

For local treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the oral, pharyngeal and laryngeal mucosa caused by microorganisms sensitive to biclutymol, lysozyme and enoxolone:

- Acute and chronic pharyngitis;

- pharyngolaringitis;

- tonsillitis;

- conditions after tonsillectomy;

glossitis.

DOSING MODE

Adults appoint 1 tablet.
every 2 hours. The maximum dose is 8 tablets / day.
Children over 6 years of age are prescribed 1 tab.
every 4 hours.
The duration of treatment should not exceed 10 days.

Tablets must be resorbed until completely dissolved.

SIDE EFFECT

Possible: allergic reactions, superinfection;
with prolonged use (more than 10 days) - dysbacteriosis of the oral cavity with the risk of spread of bacterial and fungal infection.
CONTRAINDICATIONS

- children's age till 6 years;

- Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

PREGNANCY AND LACTATION

During pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding), Hexalysis is prescribed only according to strict indications.

APPLICATION FOR CHILDREN

Contraindication: children under 6 years.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

When prescribing a patient with diabetes, it is necessary to take into account that 1 tablet contains 1.054 g of sugar.

If the therapeutic effect is absent or weak within 5 days, the therapy should be reviewed.

OVERDOSE

At present, cases of overdose of Hexalisis have not been reported.

DRUG INTERACTION

It is necessary to avoid simultaneous use of other medications for topical application in the oral cavity.
