PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT
Combined drug, the effect of which is due to the components that make up its composition.
Betamethasone - glucocorticosteroid, has a local anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, antipruritic, decongestant and antiproliferative action. Has a stronger vasoconstrictive effect than other fluoride derivatives of glucocorticosteroids, systemic effects are expressed slightly due to limited absorption through the skin. When exposed to the skin, the edge accumulation of neutrophils is prevented, which leads to a decrease in exudation, production of cytokines, inhibition of migration of macrophages, leading ultimately to a decrease in the processes of infiltration and granulation.
Chlorhexidine is an antimicrobial drug that acts on gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, yeast, dermatophytes.
INDICATIONS
Inflammatory and allergic dermatoses complicated by secondary infection and prevention of secondary infection:
- psoriasis;
- parapsoriasis;
- Lipoid necrobiosis;
contact dermatitis;
- atopic dermatitis;
- eczema;
- Neurodermatitis;
- seborrheic dermatitis;
- erythroderma-ring-shaped erythema;
- erythema nodosum;
- lymphocytoma;
- benign lymphoplasia;
- Red flat lichen-prigorigo;
- phlebotoderma;
- exfoliative dermatitis;
- herpetiform dermatitis;

DOSING MODE

Children and in patients with skin lesions , treatment should not exceed 5 days.
SIDE EFFECT
Burning, itching, steroid acne, striae, dry skin, folliculitis, hypertrichosis, sweating.
With long-term use - skin atrophy, local hirsutism, telangiectasia, purpura, hypopigmentation; when applied to large surfaces, systemic manifestations characteristic of GCS are possible.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
- cutaneous manifestations of syphilis;
- Tuberculosis of the skin;
- Viral skin lesions;
- trophic ulcers of the lower leg, associated with varicose veins;
- neoplasm of the skin;
- rosacea, vulgar acne, postvaccinal skin reactions;
- In children under 1 year - rash (against the background of diaper rash);
hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
With caution: with prolonged use or application on large surfaces - cataract, diabetes, glaucoma, tuberculosis.
PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
The safety of the use of local glucocorticosteroids in pregnant women is not established. The purpose of this group of medicines during pregnancy is justified only if the potential benefit exceeds the potential risk to the fetus.
APPLICATION FOR CHILDREN
Contraindicated for the treatment of rashes (against the background of diaper rash) in children under 1 year.
In children, the course of treatment should not exceed 5 days.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. When using the drug on large surfaces and / or with an occlusive dressing, it is necessary to keep in mind the possibility of developing a systemic action of betamethasone. In case of application of the drug with ordinary or rosaceous acne, the exacerbation of the disease is possible.
OVERDOSE
Symptoms: with prolonged use of the drug in high doses, it is possible to develop symptoms of hypercorticism.
Treatment: conduct symptomatic therapy. It is recommended to gradually stop the drug. If necessary, correct the electrolyte balance.
DRUG INTERACTION
Chlorhexidine is incompatible with detergents containing an anionic group (saponins, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium carboxymethylcellulose) and soaps. The presence of soap can inactivate chlorhexidine, so before using the drug, soap residues should be thoroughly rinsed off.
