PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT
Aqua Maris Plus is a sterile isotonic solution containing sea water and dexpanthenol.
Dexpanthenol is a derivative of pantothenic acid. Pantothenic acid - a water soluble vitamin B complex - is an integral part of coenzyme A. Dexpanthenol stimulates mucosal regeneration, normalizes cellular metabolism, renders regenerative and weak anti-inflammatory effect.
When injected into the nasal cavity, Aqua Maris Plus moisturizes the mucous membrane, stimulates regeneration and exerts a trophic effect on the cells of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity. The drug promotes the liquefaction of mucus and the normalization of its production in goblet cells of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity.
Microelements included in the preparation improve the function of the ciliated epithelium, which increases the resistance of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses to the introduction of pathogenic bacteria and viruses.

INDICATIONS
- for the treatment and prevention of atrophic and subatrophic rhinitis;
- for cleansing and moisturizing the nasal mucosa in inflammatory diseases of the nasal cavity, nasal sinuses and nasopharynx, incl. pregnant women and during lactation;
- in the complex therapy of allergic and vasomotor rhinitis (especially to people who are predisposed or who suffer from hypersensitivity to medicines, including pregnant women and during lactation);
- for the prevention of infections of the nasal cavity in the autumn-winter period (including pregnant women and during lactation);
- patients suffering from dryness of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity and to persons living and working in air-conditioned rooms and / or central heating, in order to maintain the physiological characteristics of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity in altered microclimatic conditions;
- To people, the mucous membrane of the upper respiratory ways of which is constantly exposed to harmful influences (smokers, drivers of motor transport, people working in hot and dusty shops, and also in regions with severe climatic conditions);
- Older people to prevent age-related atrophic changes in the nasal mucosa.
DOSING MODE
With curative purposes:
- Children aged 1 to 7 years : 4 times / day 2 injections into each nasal passage;
- Children aged 7 to 16 years : 4-6 times / day for 2 injections in each nasal passage;
- Children over 16 years and adults: 4-8 times / day for 2-3 injections in each nasal passage.
The course of treatment in all cases is 2-4 weeks (at the discretion of the attending physician). It is recommended to repeat the course in a month.
With preventive purposes:
- Children aged 1 to 7 years: 1-3 times / day for 1-2 injections in each nasal passage;
- Children aged 7 to 16 years: 2-4 times / day for 2 injections in each nasal passage;
- Children from 16 years and adults: 3-6 times / day for 2-3 injections in each nasal passage.
SIDE EFFECT
